  PATAGONIA SUR
2. PN Torres del Paine

Beyond the Carretera Austral, cut off by the Campo de Hielo Sur (Southern Ice Field) lies Southern Patagonia, a country of unspoiled wilderness and solitude: bleak windswept plains, great mountain ranges and immense glaciers.
Day 2-5 In Chile we visit the fantastic granite towers of the Torres del Paine (Chile) mountain range (entrance town: Puerto Natales), Chile's most important touristic destination and a paradise for climbers and hikers.
Day 6-7 In Argentina, just across the Chilean border, our rolling transport along the legendary Ruta 40 offers breath taking views upon hurds of guanacos (lama species) and ñandus (ostrich species). Along this Ruta 40 two of the top attractions of Argentinean South Patagonia are located. See gigantic icebergs falling off the 5km long and 60m high cracking glacier Perito Moreno near El Calafate.
Day 8-10 Also located along the Ruta 40 in Argentina we walk in the amazing Fitz Roy mountain range (entrance town: El Chalten).
Day 11-12 In National Park Monte Leon we visit a pinguin colony.
Day 13-14We drive to Punta Arenas and explore the Reserva Nacional Magellanes.
Day 15
